Tahini

An easy recipe for homemade Tahini

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds hulled
  • 2 1/2-3 tbsp light olive oil
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Toast the sesame seeds in a frying pan over medium heat-stirring constantly so they do not burn. Toast to a light tan color-about 3-5 minutes.

  2. Move to a plate and cool completely.

  3. Add toasted sesame seeds to a small food processor and blend until crumbly.

  4. Add oil-begin with 2 1/2 tablespoons and blend until mixture is smooth and pourable. Use or refrigerate.

  5. Note: add more oil, a little at a time to get the mixture to a smooth pourable paste, as needed.
