Ingredients

  • 16-20 ounces apples peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 15.25 ounce Butter Cake Mix
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter slightly melted in the microwave
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal

Instructions

  1. Spray the inside of the slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.

  2. Peel and slice apples. Place apples in the slow cooker.

  3. Combine cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle over the sliced apples. Stir carefully to distribute over apples.

  4. In a medium sized bowl, combine cake mix, brown sugar, butter and oatmeal.

  5. Place cake mix mixture on top of the apples in the slow cooker.

  6. Cook on low for 2 to 2 1/4 hours-until golden brown. Watch the dessert near the end of the cooking time so it doesn't burn.

  7. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipping cream.
