Ingredients

  • 5 cups peaches peeled and diced
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 14-ounce cans sweetened condensed milk
  • 5 1/3 cups Half and Half
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Place diced peaches in a mixing bowl with the 1/3 cup sugar and stir. Place in the refrigerator for one hour.

  2. While the diced peaches are resting, mix the sweetened condensed milk with the half and half, 1 cup of sugar, vanilla, lemon juice and salt in the canister for your ice cream freezer. Stir well and freeze as your ice cream freezer directs.

  3. When ice cream freezer has finished freezing the ice cream, remove the diced peaches from the refrigerator and blend with an immersion blender.

  4. Add the peach and sugar mixture to the ice cream. Stir well.

  5. Homemade ice cream tends to be soft so, if you like your ice cream soft, or as a shake, eat it now. If you want it more set, place in a freezer safe container and freeze until set. Serve and enjoy!
