A simple recipe for buttermilk made at home.
Place one tablespoon of either lemon juice or white vinegar in a liquid measuring cup (large enough for one cup).
Fill the glass measuring cup, up to the one cup mark. Stir.
Let stand for five minutes.
After five minutes, the buttermilk is ready to use.
Use for baking, breakfast recipes or dressings, use as you would store purchased buttermilk.
