A crispy crust topped with barbecue sauce, tender chicken, red onion and grated cheese.
Make pizza dough if using homemade. (Our pizza crust is linked above in the post-it needs rising time, so plan accordingly)
Cut up cooked chicken and coat in 1/4 cup barbecue sauce. Set aside,
Grate cheeses and slice onion. Set aside.
Place dough on a greased barbecue pizza pan (about a 13 inch at the outer rim pan) and press to fit pan. I also dusted the pan with some corn meal-optional.
Place pizza pan onto a grill that is pre-heated to low and cook for 5-10 minutes depending on the thickness of your crust.
When crust is nearly cooked through, top with 1/2 cup barbecue sauce, chicken, red onion and grated cheeses.
Grill for 8-12 minutes to heat up toppings, melt cheese and finish the baking of the crust.
Remove from oven and place pizza on a cutting board or baking pan. Slice and enjoy!
NOTE: GRILLS WILL VARY, SO WATCH THE COOKING TIME!
