Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 46 ounce can pineapple juice
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 5 cups water
  • 5 medium bananas mashed well
  • 2 liters 7Up or Sprite

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring water and sugar to a boil to dissolve the sugar.

  2. When sugar has dissolved, remove from the heat and add mashed bananas, orange juice, lemon juice and pineapple juice.

  3. Mix the mixture well and then, pour into freezer safe containers. It is good to use more than one container so you do not have to thaw out one big container. This will also decrease the freezing time.

NOTE: Make sure each container gets some banana.

  4. Place containers into the freezer. As the mixture freezes, it is a good idea to stir the slush a few times, so the bananas do not settle in one spot. Freezing time will depend on the size of your containers-about 20 hours if you are using one large container.

  5. When ready to use, remove a container from the freezer and allow the slush about 8-10 minutes to begin to thaw. You still want it frozen-this is a slush. Then scrap the mixture with a metal spatula or a metal spoon. Place the slush into cups and serve with Sprite or 7up. Enjoy!
