German Pancakes (Dutch Baby)

We love these German Pancakes. They are so quick to make. Mix the batter with a blender or an immersion blender-which is my preferred choice so I do not have to wash the blender. Then, bake them in butter-delicious! Serve with powdered sugar or syrup. Topping them with fresh fruit and maybe a little whipping cream is my favorite.

How To Make German Pancakes:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°
  2. Cut the butter into 5 tablespoons and place each piece in the bottom of your baking pan. Place pan in the oven to melt as the oven heats up. This will not take long to melt. Remove the pan when melted-do not burn.
  3. While the butter melts, place eggs, four, milk, vanilla, salt and cinnamon into a bowl and mix with an immersion blender. You can use a regular blender, if desired. Mix until smooth.
  4. Pour batter into the pan with the melted butter.
  5. Place the pan back into the pre-heated oven and bake for 16-18 minutes. Watch toward the end to remove from the oven when the pancake is your desired color of light to golden brown on the edges.
  6. Remove from the oven and cut into pieces.
  7. Serve with powdered sugar, syrup, fresh fruit and/or whipping cream.
