Ingredients Needed For Parmesan Basil Orzo:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 14.5 ounce can chicken broth
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup fresh basil, chopped or sliced
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan, not the powder
Instructions For Parmesan Basil Orzo:
- Place butter and Orzo into a sauce pan. Melt the butter and brown the orzo for 3-4 minutes. Stir frequently.
- Slowly add the chicken broth and add the salt.
- Bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and cover.
- Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until liquid is absorbed. Stir enough to not let this mixture burn.
- Remove from the heat and add the basil and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Stir.
- Serve and enjoy!
