Ingredients Needed For Strawberry Corn Pops:
Butter
Sugar
Karo Corn Syrup
Baking Soda
Strawberry Extract
Corn Pops-from Clover Club (not Corn Pop, the cereal)
Valentine Sprinkles
How To Make Strawberry Corn Pops:
Place Clover Club Corn Pops into a large heat proof bowl. I like use a large metal mixing bowl. Set aside. Note: this bowl needs to be large enough to hold the Corn Pops and be able to stir them around without spilling them all over the kitchen.
Lightly coat two large baking sheets with non-stick spray or butter. Set aside.
Now, bring butter, sugar and Karo corn syrup to a boil in a sauce pan. Once mixture is boiling, boil for two minutes. Stir continually so the mixture does not burn.
After the two minutes, remove the sauce pan from the heat and quickly stir in baking soda and strawberry extract.
Next, pour about half of the butter and sugar mixture over the Corn Pops, stir and sprinkle some sprinkles on top while stirring. Repeat with the remaining butter and sugar mixture and more sprinkles, if desired. This needs to be done quickly.
Then, spread the coated Corn Pops onto the two baking sheets in a single layer to cool and dry out for at least an hour.
Enjoy and store leftovers in an air tight container.
This makes a fun neighbor gift-put some of the Corn Pops into a festive cellophane bag with a cute ribbon.
