Ingredients Needed For Cranberry Orange Jam:
Fresh Cranberries
Orange Juice-Simple Orange Orange Juice
Orange Zest
Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
Sugar
Apples-I use Fuji apples
Instructions For Cranberry Orange Jam:
Here are the simple instructions for this amazing jam…first you will need to wash, dry and zest the oranges.
Then, juice the oranges. I like to place my citrus into the microwave for about 10 seconds and then, roll the citrus on the counter-pressing firmly down to break up the pulp (without breaking the peel-which is easy to do after you zest the fruit).
Next, peel the apples and discard the peel. Then, grate the apples.
Place fresh cranberries, Simply Orange orange juice, orange zest, freshly squeezed orange juice, sugar and grated apples into a sauce pan.
Bring this mixture to a boil.
Then, turn the heat down and allow the jam to simmer for 20-25 minutes, until thickened into a jam consistency.
Lastly, when jam has thickened, remove sauce pan from the heat and mash or blend to your desired chunky or smoothness.
This recipe make about three cups.
Use, refrigerate or freeze this delicious jam.
Cook’s Note:
This jam, in a cute jar, makes a great gift with some homemade bread for the holidays!! 💕
