Ingredients Needed for Philly Cheesesteak Lettuce Wraps:
Steak-umms Sliced Steak
Onion
Red or Yellow Bell Pepper
Green or Orange Bell Pepper
Mushrooms
Salt
Pepper
Provolone Cheese or Mozzarella Cheese-or a combination of the two cheeses
Iceberg Lettuce
Instructions for Philly Cheesesteak Lettuce Wraps:
Cut the onion into slices and cut into desired size pieces.
Remove the stems and clean out the seeds of the bell peppers. Cut the bell peppers into slices and then chop into smaller pieces, if desired.
Wash and cut the mushrooms into quarters.
Place the beef, onion, bell peppers and mushrooms into a deep frying pan. (Steak-umms have enough fat-you will not need to oil the pan)
Cook Steak-umms, onion, bell peppers and mushrooms in the frying pan until meat is cooked and vegetables are tender.
Drain the grease off of the steak and vegetables and then add salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
Add provolone and mozzarella cheeses and stir to melt the cheese. Or top each lettuce wrap with desired amount of cheese.
Serve in lettuce leaves for a delicious dinner that gives you your protein and veggies in one pan. One pan dinners are the best-washing dishes is not my favorite!
