Ingredients Needed For Fried Wonton Crisps:
Two ingredients are all you need and some soup to go with these yummy crisps.
Wonton wrappers
Oil
How to Make Fried Wonton Crisps:
Cut wonton wrappers into six strips. I cut half of the stack of wonton wrappers at a time. Set aside.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan or Wok.
Test oil-dip a wonton wrapper strip into the oil. If the oil bubbles around it, the oil is ready.
Place six strips into the oil at one time. You can lay them flat or fold them over to get different shapes. Lay each of the six strips into the oil-one at a time. When you finish, the first one you placed into the oil should be ready to be turned over. Turn all six over and let cook until they are the desired color and crispy-ness. I like them to be just lightly golden brown.
Remove strips from oil and drain on a paper towel on top of a heat resistant plate.
Then, repeat with six more. Continue until you have cooked all of the wonton wrapper strips.
Enjoy in soups, especially our Egg Drop Soup.
