Ingredients Needed for Egg Drop Soup:
Chicken broth
Eggs
Corn starch
Water
Ground ginger
Garlic powder
White pepper
Salt
Soy Sauce
Green onion, optional
Fried Wonton Crisps, optional
Instructions for Egg Drop Soup:
Place chicken broth into a pot large enough to hold 58 ounces of broth plus the other ingredients.
Bring chicken broth to a boil. Then, add the ground ginger, garlic powder, white pepper, salt and soy sauce. Stir to combine.
Mix corn starch and warm water together until combined. Slowly add corn starch mixture while stirring with a whisk until thickened. Reduce heat to a simmer.
In a mixing bowl, whisk eggs. Then, slowly drizzle the beaten eggs into the soup and use a ladle to carefully swirl the eggs in-swirl in a circle-one direction. Do not over stir.
Remove from heat when the eggs have been added and cooked. They will cook very quickly.
Serve soup with Fried Wonton Crisps and green onion, if desired.
This recipe makes 7 cups of soup and takes about 20 minutes.

Ingredients
- 4 14.5 ounces chicken broth
- 5 eggs
- 5 tbsps corn starch
- 4 tbsps water
- 1 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp white pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsps soy sauce
Instructions

Place chicken broth in a pot and bring to a boil.

Add seasonings and whisk.

In a small bowl, combine warm water and corn starch.

Slowly whisk in corn starch mixture and stir until thickened. Lower heat.

In another bowl, beat eggs.

Slowly pour in the beaten eggs. Using a ladle, swirl the eggs into the soup as you pour-swirling in a circle, in one direction. Do not over stir. You do no want the eggs to mix in-you want the eggs to be whispy.

Remove from the heat and serve with green onion and fried wonton crisps-link above in post.
