Ingredients Needed for Orange Chicken:
Ground chicken
Orange juice
Orange zest
Rice wine vinegar
Soy sauce
Sesame oil
Brown sugar
Garlic
Ginger
Red pepper flakes
Salt
Pepper
Corn starch
Water
Green onions
Rice
Instructions for Orange Chicken:
Cook the ground chicken until cooked though. Set aside. Make the sauce first if you would rather or make at the same time-you will just be combing the two at the end.
Add orange juice, orange zest, rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper to a sauce pan and bring to a boil.
Mix corn starch and water.
Add to corn starch mixture to boiling sauce and stir to thicken.
Continue boiling and stirring to thicken sauce and dissolve sugar.
When sauce has thickened, combine meat and orange sauce. Stir to combine and heat the chicken.
Serve over cooked rice-I love Baked Rice-and garnish with sliced green onions and extra orange zest, if desired.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- 2 tsp orange zest
- 3 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 3/4 tsp ground ginger
- 3/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- 2 tbsp water
- cooked rice for serving
- sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions

Crumble cook ground chicken until cooked through.

While chicken is cooking, begin making sauce.

Zest the orange and then juice the orange.

Add orange juice, orange zest, rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, ground ginger, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper to a sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Stirring frequently.

Combine corn starch and water and then add to the sauce. Continue stirring and simmering until sugar has dissolved and sauce has thickened.

When sauce has thickened, add the cooked ground chicken and heat through.

Serve over cooked rice and top with sliced green onions, if desired.
