How much do you love fresh homemade cornbread with honey butter or cinnamon honey butter. Just plain butter or butter and honey is amazing too. Cornbread is delicious on the side of a big bowl of chili, as well. Mostly, I love it for breakfast with a good honey butter spread. This recipe is so good not just because of the flavor but, it is very moist. I have added a little sour cream to the mixture to give the recipe its moist texture. I think you will love how it turns out and will want to make it again and again. Try it with Vanilla Honey Butter or Cinnamon Vanilla Honey Butter.
Ingredients Needed for Super Moist Cornbread:
Flour
Cornmeal
Sugar
Baking powder
Salt
Butter
Sour cream
Milk
Eggs
How to Make Super Moist Cornbread:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with cooking spray. Set aside.
In a microwave safe bowl slowly melt the butter in the microwave and set this bowl aside.
In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
*Note: when measuring flour, I like to mix or fluff up my flour inside my flour canister. Then, I use the same spoon to scoop the flour into the measuring cup. I do not want the flour to be packed in.
In another mixing bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: melted butter, sour cream, milk, and eggs.
Now, combine the wet and dry ingredients. Mix until combined.
Pour cornbread mixture into the greased 9 x 13 baking dish.
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool a bit. Then, cut and serve with chili or your favorite spread. Ours are: Vanilla Honey Butter and Cinnamon Vanilla Honey Butter.

Valentine’s French Toast Bites are fun for Valentine’s Day and fun for any other day, as well. Kids love to see their food in different shapes. I have always made pancakes into animal shapes and have molds to do that now, too. Kids are funny…I made a quesadilla for my daughter-I made it into a Jack-o-Lantern for Halloween. She looked at it and smiled but, then she said, I don’t like my food with a face. I’m thinking….what?? I always make your food into fun shapes. Made me laugh and I cut it up so it wasn’t a face.
