This is the best beef stew. Tender beef, potatoes, carrots, and onion-yum! Of course, it’s a family favorite. We hope you enjoy this recipe.
We love soups and stews. They warm us up on cold evenings and just add comfort to our lives.
The cutting of the vegetables and meat, like for most soups and stews is the most time consuming part. But, it’s worth it. This hearty beef stew has great flavor.
How to make Beef Stew:
First, dice your carrots, potatoes and onion.
Sometimes, I will use a roast instead of stew meat because sometimes stew meat is really expensive per pound. So, I will buy a roast and cut it into cubes for this delicious stew.
Next, If necessary (because you also bought a roast), cut up your meat..
Then, Mix your meat seasoning and coat the meat, either in a bowl or in the slow cooker. I like to coat the meat in the slow cooker. Anyway, the coated meat goes in the slow cooker/Crockpot. Place your vegetables on top of the beef.
Next, make the mixture with the soup, ketchup, and garlic. Pour this over the vegetables. Stir a bit to distribute the soup mixture.
Now, cook it on low for 8 hours.
