This is a great snack or appetizer for family and friends. I serve this at holiday get-togethers and it is always a favorite! Recently, we had some family over for game night and I served this classic cheese ball. I had completely forgotten that two of our guests do not like black olives. They still loved it. Possibly because the olives are chopped so small and there are other flavors that blend well with the olives.
Ingredients Needed For Classic Cheese Ball:

Try This Recipe For Easter Too-coat the cheese ball in extra grated cheese and top it with fresh parsley:
Instructions For Classic Cheese Ball:
- Combine all ingredients, EXCEPT the chopped pecans, in a mixing bowl with a hand mixer.
- When combined well, roll the cheese mixture into a ball-using your hands.
- Roll cheese ball in the chopped pecans.
- Keep refrigerated until ready to serve. Serve with crackers.
- Enjoy!!
Cooks Note:
I like to mix this in a deep mixing bowl. It can splatter up and out of smaller shorter bowls while mixing until it is smooth and creamy.
I know the bagged already grated cheese is so easy and convenient, however, this is better with freshly grated cheese from a block of cheese. I hardly ever use the already grated cheese anymore. It seems to be dryer and makes some recipes just not as good.
