So…I arrived home late and we had tickets to the lantern festival. We needed something quick and simple for dinner. Just wanted some inexpensive mac and cheese-it’s so good! My husband doesn’t love mac and cheese like I do so I decided to add a few things to make it have more flavor. He likes chili and chicken. added those two things to the mac and cheese and ended up with this yummy dish. He loved it and said, “we have to have this again.” I was not expecting that but, I was happy!! Happy, also, that I had a recipe for busy nights that would make my people happy!! The links to the items I used are below and here: Kirkland’s canned chicken. Of course, don’t forget to add your favorite grated cheddar cheese to the top to finish the dish.
Ingredients Needed for Chicken Chili Mac and Cheese:
Box Mac and cheese
Can chili (I used chili with beef-chili con carne with beans)
Can chicken, drained (I love the Costco-Kirkland brand canned chicken!)
Grated cheddar cheese
Directions:
Cook Mac and Cheese as directed.
Drain canned chicken and add to prepared Mac and Cheese.
Add chili to Mac and Cheese.
Stir to combine and heat through on low.
Serve with grated cheese on top.

- 1 7.25 ounce box Kraft Mac & Cheese Cooked according to package
- 1 14 ounce can chili I used chili with beef-chili con carne with beans
- 1 12.5 ounce can canned chicken drained. (I love the Kirkland brand canned chicken)
- cheddar cheese grated
Instructions

Cook macaroni and cheese according to the package directions.
