The flavor combination in this shortbread apple dessert is delicious. Some of my favorite ingredients are in here: butter, cream cheese, vanilla, and cinnamon. We hope you try it and love it too.
Ingredients:
Crust Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, at room temperature
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
Cream Cheese Filling ingredients:
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
Apple Topping Ingredients:
5-6 apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cloves
Frosting Ingredients:
1 Tablespoon melted butter,
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 Tablespoon milk
Crust Directions:
Combine butter, sugar, vanilla, and flour. Press into the bottom of a lightly greased Spring-Form pan.
Cream Cheese Filling Directions:
Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla together with an electric mixer until smooth. Pour over crust.
Apple Topping Directions:
Mix apples, sugar, cinnamon, and cloves together and carefully spoon the apples on top of the cream cheese mixture.
Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce the heat to 400 degrees and continue baking for 25-30 minutes-until apples are tender.
Remove from oven and allow to cool a bit. Remove the outside edge of the Spring-form pan and drizzle with frosting.
Frosting Directions:
After cake has been baked and cooled a bit, combine melted butter, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
Serve warm and enjoy!
