Ingredients Needed for Slow Cooker Pork with Seasoned Gravy:
2 1/2 pounds pork loin
3 0.87 ounce packages chicken or turkey gravy dry mix plus 3 cups water-according to packet instructions
(Or 3 cups left over gravy from Thanksgiving dinner or you can use canned gravy-at least 3 cups)
3 Tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
2 teaspoons onion powder
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions for Slow Cooker Pork with Seasoned Gravy:
Place pork loin in a slow cooker.
Heat 3 cups of water over medium high heat and stir in gravy packets. Stir with a whisk to mix in dry gravy mix and to thicken-follow directions on the back of the package. (If using canned gravy or leftover gravy, mix gravy with seasonings and pour over pork).
Add garlic powder, ground ginger, onion powder, thyme, pepper, salt, and soy sauce to the gravy and stir to combine.
Pour gravy mixture over pork.
Cook on low for 8 hours and serve with rice or mashed potatoes (or leftover mashed potatoes from Thanksgiving dinner). You can shred or slice pork loin to serve it. I like to shred the pork loin in the slow cooker and mix it all up so the pork is covered in gravy.
