Instructions for Slow Cooker Stuffed Apples:

Mix all dry ingredients: oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and allspice until well combined.

Melt butter in a microwave safe bowl and mix melted butter into the dry ingredients.

Core apples and then fill each apple with 1/5th of the oatmeal mixture.

Stand filled apples in the bottom of the slow cooker.

Pour 1/2 cup water into bottom of the slow cooker, around the apples.

Cover the slow cooker and cook on high for about 2 1/2 hours. Check at two hours to see if the are tender. The size of apples will make the cooking time vary. I like my apples to be soft-like the apples in apple pie-so 2 1/2 hours works for me.

When apples are at the desired tenderness, lift them out with a spoon so the insides do not fall out.

Serve alone or with vanilla ice cream.
