This cheddar jalepeno bread smells great while baking and tastes great too. Bread is one of our favorite things. Actually, food is our favorite.
10 Rhodes rolls
2 Tablespoons jalapeños, chopped into very small pieces
2 cups cheddar cheese
1 egg, beaten
Directions:
1. Let rolls raise for six hours on a plate or cookie sheet with no sides touching.
2. Then, cut each roll in half.
3. Scramble egg in a large bowl. Place rolls in bowl with egg and coat each roll.
4. Add jalepenos and cheese. Mix to distribute jalepenos and cheese.
5. Place in a greased bread pan, (I am not comfortable letting this rise too long after I’ve mixed it with the egg-so, I set the pan on top of the stove and let it sit while my oven pre-heated-about 15 minutes) and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown. If after 15-20 minutes, it is golden brown, cover with foil and continue baking to make sure the middle of the bread is not doughy. Watch it closely so it doesn’t burn.
Enjoy!
