Ingredients Needed for Orange Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls:
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon fresh squeezed orange juice
1/4 teaspoon orange extract
1 package Pillsbury crescent rolls (8 rolls)
Glaze:
1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
2 Tablespoons fresh squeezed orange juice
2 teaspoons grated orange zest
Instructions for Orange Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls:
First, wash and dry the medium sized orange. Then, zest the whole orange and set the zest aside for the glaze.
Cut the orange in half and juice the orange. Set the juice aside. You will be using 1/4 teaspoon for the cream cheese mixture and 2 tablespoons for the glaze.
Make sure your cream cheese is softened. It will make a much more smooth cream cheese filling. Combine softened cream cheese, sugar, 1/4 teaspoon orange juice, and orange extract. Mix with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
Now, separate the crescent roll dough into the eight triangles. Divide cream cheese mixture between the eight rolls. Spread the cream cheese mixture out a little bit on the large part of the triangle.
Roll the cream cheese filled rolls into crescent roll shapes. Place them on a baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes-until golden brown. Remove from the oven to cool.
While rolls bake, make the glaze. Combine all of the glaze ingredients until smooth using an electric mixer.
After you have allowed the rolls time to cool-about 2-3 minutes. Drizzle glaze over rolls and serve.
Enjoy! We hope these become a favorite for you!
