Spaghetti stuffed garlic bread is really good and fun. We served it with a green salad. It was a great.
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, diced
24 ounce bottle spaghetti sauce
8 ounces tomato sauce
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon Oregano
1/4 teaspoon basil
1 loaf French bread
2 cups Mozzarella cheese, grated
3/4 cup garlic butter, softened or melted (I love Chef Shamy’s garlic butter)
10 ounces spaghetti noodles
Directions:
1. Break the spaghetti noodles in half and boil according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
2. While pasta cooks, cook ground beef and onion.
3. When beef is cooked through, drain he gat and then add spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, garlic, oregano, and basil. Heat through.
4. Mix spaghetti noodles with sauce.
5. Cut top off of the French bread. Remove the soft middle and discard.
6. Spread garlic butter on both top and bottom of the French bread.
7. Sprinkle one half cup of grated Mozzarella in the bottom of the bread.
8. Fill the bread with the spaghetti mixture and cover with the remaining cheese.
9. Place top on the bread and wrap in foil.
10. Bake on a large cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
