Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch Candy


This chocolate peanut butter crunch candy turned out better than I thought it would. Everyone that tried it really liked it.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup butter

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1  1/2 cups chocolate chips

1/2 cup honey or corn syrup

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

2 1/2 cups corn flakes

1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted-place on a cookie sheet and toast in oven or toaster oven until golden brown. Watch carefully.

Directions:

1. Place butter, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and honey (or corn syrup) in a microwave safe dish. Microwave for one minute then, stir. Microwave for another minute and stir again. Stir until smooth.

2. When mixture has melted and is smooth, stir in vanilla.

3. Carefully stir in corn flakes, and toasted, slivered almonds.

4. Pour in a 9×9 lightly greased baking dish. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate to set up.

5. Cut into squares and enjoy!
