Ingredients Needed for Simple Fruit Salad:
Strawberries-one pound
Pineapple-half of a large
Blackberries-8-10 ounces
Kiwi-5 or 6 kiwi
Use your judgment on the amounts. Make it look as even as possible or If you like one fruit more than another-add more of that fruit.
Instructions For Simple Fruit Salad:
Start with chilled fruit.
Wash and pat the blackberries dry. Set aside.
Wash and pat the strawberries dry. Remove the stems and slice each strawberry in half. Set aside.
Peel and slice the kiwi and set aside.
Remove the outside of the pineapple and the core. Cut the pineapple into bite size pieces.
Combine and serve. NOTE: If you are making this in the morning and serving it at a barbecue or dinner later in the day, for example, store the fruit in separate containers in the refrigerator and mix the fruits together just before serving so the fruit colors do not transfer.

NOTE: Don’t forget…This is best made the day you want to serve it. I like to make it just before serving so the colors do not transfer to the pineapple. Or cut and store fruits separately until ready to serve-then arrange them in a pretty bowl and serve.
