This Four Cheese Grilled Cheese Sandwich was a hit in our house! I love grilled cheese but this is above and beyond the usual grilled cheese. They are wonderful!
Ingredients:
Bread-enough for as many sandwiches you are making.
Cheddar cheese-three slices per sandwich
Monterey Jack cheese-three slices
Mozzarella cheese-three slices per sandwich
Parmesan cheese (the powdered kind)
Garlic butter-I use Chef Shamy Gourmet garlic butter
Directions:
1. Place enough garlic butter for your sandwiches (give it your best guess-can always melt more) in a microwave safe bowl for just enough time to soften and melt butter.
2. Place the nine pieces of cheese on a slice of bread.
3. Top with another piece of bread.
4. Butter the outside of both pieces of bread.
5. Sprinkle one side with the grated Parmesan cheese and place that side down in an electric frying pan on medium heat. Now sprinkle Parmesan cheese on the side that is facing up.
6. Turning sandwich over when the side is golden brown.
7. Remove from pan when golden brown and the cheese has melted. I put the lid on my electric frying pan to keep the heat in.
8. Serve with Tomato Basil Pesto Soup.
I hope your family enjoys these as much as ours did.
