The sauce for this Asian dish is very flavorful. The Asian sweet chili sauce, the hoisin sauce, rice wine vinegar, toasted sesame oil, and ground ginger give this sauce the best flavor.
Ingredients Needed for Shredded Asian Chicken:
2-2 1/4 pounds chicken breasts, thawed
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup Asian sweet chili sauce
2 1/2 Tablespoons hoisin sauce
2 1/2 Tablespoon rice wine vinegar
1 1/2 Tablespoons toasted sesame oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions for Shredded Asian Chicken:
Place the thawed chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine ketchup, brown sugar, soy sauce, Asian sweet chili sauce, hoisin sauce, rice wine vinegar, toasted sesame oil, minced garlic, onion powder, ground ginger and black pepper. Mix well and pour the mixture over the chicken. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
After the eight hours, shred the chicken. Mix chicken and sauce to distribute the sauce. Allow time for the chicken to absorb the sauce.
Serve over rice or we like to serve this delicious shredded chicken in buns for a shredded chicken sandwich. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 2-2 1/4 pounds chicken breast thawed
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/3 cup Asian sweet chili sauce
- 2 1/2 tbsps hoisin sauce
- 2 1/2 tbsps rice wine vinegar
- 1 1/2 tbsps toasted sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions

Place thawed chicken breasts into the bottom of a slow cooker.

In a mixing bowl, combine remaining ingredients to make the sauce and mix well.

Pour sauce over the chicken in the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours.

When the chicken has cooked, shred the chicken and stir it with the sauce in the slow cooker. Allow time for chicken to absorb the sauce in the slow cooker. Serve on buns for over rice if desired.
